Pet Friendly Accommodations and Our Pet Policy

We Love Friendly Pets!  Halley is Foothills Lodge & Cabins official "Guest Greeter!" Your innkeeper, Karen, has three 4 legged best friends - Daisy (shelter rescue, age 9). Bugsy, (rescue, age 7), and Halley (1 year old on Dec 7, 2007 and 95 pounds!). Halley is a REAL character, outgoing and nosy behind the 1/2 door ..... but very timid and Karen's shadow when in public. Halley is being trained as Karen's 24/7 service companion and is still very much a puppy. Halley occasionally selects a guest he wants to interact with but is most comfortable with "over the door" visitation. 

Pet Approval - We welcome well behaved friendly pets in "pet friendly" accommodations. Our pet friendly accommodations are log cabins Antelope, Elk, and Fox Bungalow. Pet Friendly lodge style cabins include 4 and 5. Lodge Room 3 is also pet friendly. Pets are not allowed inside a NON PET accommodation out of consideration for our guests that have pet allergies.

Well Behaved & Quiet Pets - We welcome well behaved, friendly animals. Aggressive dogs or dogs that continually bark cannot be accepted for the safety and comfort of all our guests.  

Vaccinations - We require pets to be up to date on vaccinations for the safety of all our guests. By staying with us, you confirm your pet(s) are up to date with all required vaccinations.  

Pet Fee - Our pet fee is $7 for per pet per night OR a maximum of $25 per pet per stay, whichever is less. A clean up fee is charged if your cabin is left excessively dirty or full of pet hair. We completely clean every pet accommodation after departure of each family bringing a pet so the next guest has a fresh, clean room free of pet hair.  Many of our pet accommodations have wood floors allowing for complete clean up between guest stays and you may expect our pet accommodations to be fresh and clean. An additional fee will be charged if cabin requires excessive cleanup and your credit card will be charged.

Pets must be on a Leash at All Times - Please walk pets out the back side of the lodge to minimize distraction for other guests with pets and to reduce barking. Pet owners must clean up after their pet. Please do not walk pets in hot tub area or picnic areas.

Furniture & Clean Up Etiquette - Do not allow pets on furniture unless covered to protect furnishings. If you need old sheets to cover furniture, ask us and we can provide old sheets for your convenience. We offer old sheets, rags, and other items for your pet's clean up during your stay with us. Pets allowed on uncovered furniture will result in an extra clean up fee after check out to have furniture cleaned.

Do Not Leave Pets Alone  - Pets should not be left inside the cabin unattended without prior innkeeper approval and notification of lodge staff. Many pets are anxious when left alone in unfamiliar surroundings. With prior approval, a pet may occasionally be allowed to remain in the cabin during the day. If special arrangements are made, our staff may also be able to arrange to walk your pet - time permitting. Our staff cannot assume any liability for your pet.

Special Arrangements - We are pet lovers and eager to accommodate you and your pet's needs. We welcome you to talk to us if you have special requirements for your pet.

Financial Responsibility - Guests with pets must provide a valid credit card at check in and asked to sign our pet policy. Any damages to lodge property caused by your pet will be charged to your credit card. By signing this pet policy, you give permission for us to charge your credit card in the event your pet is responsible for any damages during your stay.
